TOOLING & CARVING

SADDLE HORNS & FENDER STYLES

Below are pictures of the saddle horn and fender options available.  Horn heights vary from 2 1/2" to 3 3/4" with the horn cap diameter ranging in size from 3" to 1 1/2". LEATHER CHOICES

In addition to choosing colors, you can choose to have the saddle made either all or in part using rough out leather.  You can also choose to have suede or smooth leather on the seat and knee and thigh rolls.   Saddle leather colors on left: Mahogany, Oxblood, Natural, Black, Chestnut, Brown.   Seat leather colors on right: Mahogany, Black, Toast, Light Camel, Dark Camel, and Chocolate Brown.  Click on the thumbnails below to see larger pictures with more detail.

SKIRTS & PANELS

For Western saddles you have a choice of round skirts, square skirts, or modified square skirts (square with rounded corners).  Western saddles come standard with real sheepskin lining on the panels.


For endurance and English saddles, standard panel lining is a fiber-incorporated material that wears like iron.  If desired, you can upgrade yours to real sheepskin.  Click on the thumbnails below to see larger pictures with more detail.

SILVER

STIRRUPS

You have many different stirrup options with Timberline.  Options include: jointed English irons, leather covered bells, leather covered ropers, leather covered EZ rides, Nylon core EZ rides, and leather covered overshoe stirrups.  We also make tapaderos.  Click thumbnails below to see some of your choices.

RIGGING & CANTLE HEIGHT

You also have a choice of rigging on your Timberline saddle.  There are 3 different types: standard 3 position adjustable rigging, standard English billets, and 3 position adjustable drop yoke rigging.  Additionally you can specify a straight cantle with leather binding, a rolled cantle, a Cheyenne roll, or the standard English cantle.  You can order your cantle at 1/2" increments between 3" and 5" tall.  Click the thumbnails to enlarge pictures.

KNEE & THIGH PAD SIZE & THICKNESS

Standard thickness on knee & thigh pads is 1 1/2".  You can order your pads thinner or thicker (2" thick max), you can delete pads, or add them according to your preference.  See examples below of customized knee & thigh pads.  The Continental is standard with no pads, and the Gaiter is standard with only knee pads.   Click the thumbnails to enlarge pictures.
